　　Directions:

　　Suppose your class is going to provide volunteer service for the empty-nest elderly living in a nearby community. Write a letter to

　　1) inform your classmates about it, and

　　2) encourage them to participate

　　You should write about 100 words on the ANSWER SHEET.

　　Do not sign your own name at the end of the notice. Use “Li Ming” instead.

　　Do not write your address. (10 points)

Dear Classmates,

　　I am writing to notify you of a volunteer service offered by our class to help empty-nesters in the neighborhood to fulfill their desire for the taste of pleasure ahead of time.

　　The service will be provided on December 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the morning, we are going to help them to clean their rooms and decorate with new year stuffs. Then come the entertainment activities scheduled at the Community Center. Coupled with the Model Show performed by the elegant ladies, our classmates are advised to elaborate some programs, preferably singing or interesting games.

　　Those who are willing to participate ought to sign up your names with your monitor before December 10 for the preparation of recreations. I truly appeal to all of you to come and add flavor into their lonely lives.

　　服务提供时间是12月18号，早上9点到下午5点。上午，我们将会为他们打扫房间，并装饰新年物品。然后在社区中心安排娱乐活动。结合女士们优雅的模特秀，我建议同学们也要精心制作一些节目，最好是唱歌或者有趣的游戏。

　　为了提前准备娱乐活动，想要参与的同学请在12月10号之前班长那里报名。我衷心呼吁全体同学参加，为空巢老人的孤独生活增添一些色彩。
